                   16 March 2011 - Book donation - People Connection, Bucharest

   
                   The Royal Thai Embassy in Romania donated 50 Thai books to the Central University
           Library of Bucharest in an official event- "Book donation-People connection"- hosted on
           16th of March by the Library.

                   "The book donation would provide a closer link between our people and a stronger
           connection between our two nations" saind H.E. Ms. Chantipha Phutrakul, Ambassador
           of Thailand in Romania. Ms. Mireille Radoi, Director General of the Central University
           Library "Carol I", thanked H.E. Ms. Chantipha Phutrakul for the kind gesture and
           reassured her of the good relations of cooperation and friendship while mentioning that
           this donation "represents for many generations a window between East and West,
           between the mind and soul, between present and past and why not toward the future.

                    This is the second time that the Royal Thai Embassy donates Thai books to the
           Central University Library "Carol I" reinforcing the good relation established between
           the Royal Thai Embassy and the Central University Library started in 2009 with the
           first donation. The books about Thailand offered by the Royal Thai Embassy in Romania
           cover a wide range of fields of knowledge from history to philosophy, literature to
           religions and from arts to culture.
