                   1 March 2011 - H. E. Ambassador meeting with CCIR President

   
                  On 1 March 2011, H.E. Ms. Chantipha Phutrakul, Ambassador of Thailand meeting
            with Mr. Mihail M. Vlasov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industral of
            Romania (CCIR). H.E. Ms. Chantipha Phutrakul paid the first courtesy call to the Palace
            of the National Chamber since H.E. took over the mandate in Romania.

                   On this occasion H.E. Ambassador informed the President of CCIR upon Thailand's
            high potential in agro-industry, consumers' products and food products, as Thailand is
            also referred as "kitchen to the world". Her Excellency also mentioned the great
            opportunity for a Romanian business delegation to visit the Thaifex World of Asia event
            which is to take place in Bangkok, between 25 and 29 of May 2011. This event offers
            a good occasion for Romanian business to set new advantageous agreements with one
            of the leading agricultural country with boosting food industry orientated towards 
            export.

                    "The Thaifex event is concentrated on the sectors such as: Food and Beverage,
           Food Technology, Hospitality Services, Retail Franchise. Thus, it provides the interested
           buyers with access to the latest food technological developments keeping pace with
           the recent innovations in the field".

                     In H.E. return, Mr. Mihail M. Vlasov, CCIR President stressed the rold and
            mission of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, the key institution
            for promoting bilateral trade and business opportunities both in Romania and abroad.

                     "Taking into account the fact that Thailand is the number one exporter and
            manufacturer in the world in rice and rubber and, lately, has become a growing
            desired destination for Romanian, there is a wide range of responsibilities to enhance
            and improve the trade balance", said H.E. Mr. Mihail M. Vlasov.
